How I got involved in UX design

For the first time, I had to think about user experience during my ceramics art courses in college. When I continued my studies in the University as a graphic designer, I focused more on the visual part of my design works. However, very soon I realized how crucial is to combine these two aspects: visual appearance and usability. That is why I started to add some research on top of my design tasks.

I’ve completed many courses: graphic design, photography, typography, UX design and writing, UI animation. And I still continue investing a lot of time in my studies.

My approach
to UX design

More than four years ago, I focused my interest on UX design. I understand UX as a holistic approach to working on any product, site, application, or platform. It involves many factors, and thanks to my multidisciplinary experience, I can contribute to solving complex UX and design issues for organizations of all sizes:

- A structured and strategic mindset allows me to establish inclusive design languages and implement industry best practices to improve organizational workflows and processes. Taking a holistic approach ensures that the solutions I propose align with the organization's goals and objectives.

- Interest in psychology and empathy. I find great value in observing society to understand people's problems and needs better, allowing me to create tailored and practical solutions. I leverage my knowledge and skills in UX research, which I have gained through working closely with a team of researchers. It helps me to effectively gather insights and incorporate user feedback into the design process.

- Continuously learning, I stay up-to-date at the forefront of industry trends. Currently, I am focusing on expanding my knowledge and developing my skills in front-end development. It helps me to speak the same language as the development team and comprehensively understand the product's operation.

Personal interests

I've got a degree in graphic design, and I'm interested in such spheres as culture, picture, sculpture, and design. However, my interests also extend to psychology and sociology. I am inquisitive to learn much about modern society and everything around me.
I keep an active lifestyle. When I have time, I attend traditional karate lessons. Physical training helps me to stay focused and maintain good health condition.
